- I am new to the Armed Forces, sworn in June 26, 2007 and quite green to the whole situation. I am doing a lot of reading on this board to try to get as much information about the process (training, etc). I would have joined as a regular member but my wife is not too crazy about me getting deployed. She is in support of our military and my decision to join but has obvious reservations about her husband going to war. However if the need arises, she knows I must and will serve my country and fight along my fellow members. I am one damn proud Canadian and love this great country of ours. Cheers.
