Soldier Operational Clothing and Equipment Modernization

They seem to think they can - we had a guy get a brand new ECU shirt by having the Padre send him an email saying he needs it to show off his Sentinel patch. He printed it off and showed it to clothing stores, and they made an exception for him.

Soldier Operational Clothing and Equipment Modernization

My clothing stores will only issue the "current" CADPAT if you're deploying, in recruiting or public affairs. Everyone else gets the old four-pocket, button cuff shirts. Pants tend to be more current.

Is it realistic to join the reserve in my situation

It sounds like 39CBG will be running a weekend BMQ starting the first week of February. There is (or was recently) a weekend BMQ and driver wheeled currently being run.

Star Wars Rogue Squadron teaser trailer - Director Patty Jenkins

He's also very boring. My cousin dated him while he was filming Episode II. She didn't know who he was. She ended it after about a month because he never wanted to do anything or go anywhere.

    Reserve Force BMQ Aldershot

Honestly, I'm not sure if it's an acronym, but yes, generally it refers to courses run part-time, out of a local armoury and staffed by one or more local units vs. ones run full-time out of a training school. I suppose it could stand for "course in the training year."

    Army Reserve Restructuring

My point exactly. :) Oh...does voluntold count?

Will non hospitalized Covid-19 Survivors be allowed to enroll?

We had one member come down with it; as soon as he was testing negative he resumed duties with no restrictions (he didn't suffer any lasting effects).

I'm sure I've exceeded that some years.

What’s in a Soldier? How to Rebrand the Canadian Armed Forces

I agree that we need to sell the boring, or even the uncomfortable, with the exciting. Showing the Pioneer course tearing around Cultus Lake in Zodiacs with outboards will definitely catch people's interests, but maybe let them know that before they do that, they have to jump into the...

    Part-Time Employment, but Full-Time Training

We learned some fancy new moves (already mentioned) in 2010. We also learned left and right incline. I've never used them again. I'm sure I've done more rifle drill between September and November of 2010 than I've done in the rest of my CAF career.

    Part-Time Employment, but Full-Time Training

You learn the same things, but more in-depth if I'm not mistaken. It's been awhile since I've done my BMQ but we learned the basics of foot and rifle drill. Enough to carry out the sort of parade you'd see for say, graduating your course, or a change of command parade. There was lots of drill we...

    Part-Time Employment, but Full-Time Training

It's 21 or 23 training days for reservists. It's about a month if you can do it all in one block. Reg force BMQ at CFLRS is 10 weeks.

    Reserve Force BMQ Aldershot

Yes, thanks Loch...I should have clarified training days. I'm used dealing with CITY courses that stretch out over months...

    Reserve Force BMQ Aldershot

If it's just BMQ, it's about three-ish weeks. I forget if the current day count is 21 days or 23 days.

    Part-Time Employment, but Full-Time Training

Generally no, although I believe some Navy reserve units used to do that. They may still do it.
