BMQ / BMOQ - Personal Electronics during course [MERGED]

Grimaldus, All fair points even if we do disagree on some of the issues. This is definitely something that I'm going to be following a little more closely now that I've seen all the strong opinions that people have. I've enjoyed our discussion but, as I don't see either of us changing our...

You're absolutely right. It's all too easy for small issues to snowball into big ones. I would never advocate hiding problems from the CoC, just that it was easier for some members to deal with issues (that the CoC already knew about) on their own time and give a quick verbal report back rather...

Grimaldus, thanks for taking the time to reply. You've given me a few things to think about  :) I'm not saying this is right but it does happen. All the time. Recruits don't always follow all the rules. Those that broke the rules regarding electronics were also the ones breaking other rules...

BMQ / BMOQ - Personal Electronics during course [MERGED]

That is what I meant, thanks for making sense out of my attempt to explain myself  ;D As I said, in retrospect, probably not the best comment to have made, especially considering I seem to have lost my ability to move thoughts from my mind through a keyboard and onto a screen and still have...

How about I just reply in chronological order?  Eye In The Sky It appears I wasn't clear enough with the initial portion of my post. I didn't at all mean to insinuate that the information that BulletMagnet was presenting was incorrect. I was in fact referring to the general hemming and hawing...

I realize I'm a little late to the party here  :deadhorse:  but it seems to me that the majority of this thread is based off of fairly vague information. After reading over the thread, I noticed a few things and I'll try to present my thoughts in an organized and intelligent manner. I realize...

    Medical Technician Question

I don't think this is correct. I know that when I joined the requirements of the civilian school were up to me to figure out, but for my application to the military to be complete I needed to show proof that I had met their requirements...not the school's. However, I haven't really been...

When can poppies be worn daily?

Really? I just dropped by the local mall a few days ago and every store had a box. Pretty good to see!

Vision Questions Megathread, Categories, Problems etc.

I'm in just about the same situation, with one eye being -6.25 and the other being -6.50. I'm also curious to know how the CF would handle this as I know that my eyes are still worsening (I'm only 20 and have a family history of eye problems) and my vision will eventually go below the standards...

    Vibram FiveFingers

Anyone have any idea how the "Classics" hold up on snow? I've noticed that they're slippery on wet surfaces so I'm wondering if they would be okay to run on snow with or if that's an accident waiting to happen.

Running: Training, Problems, Techniques, Questions, etc

I've looked over this thread and searched and have found some information on cold weather running, but nothing quite like what I'm looking for. I've found that when I run in "cold" weather, basically anything less than 5 degrees, I have a significantly harder time being able to breathe. Not...

Killing time inbetween Afghan Ops game CR regeneration

I like Twiter and Facebook homework. Yeah... I do a lot of "homework" while I'm waiting for my CR to get back up again. Nothing quite like taking a break from conducting mounted patrols to interpret some ECG's!

    Problems and Bugs

I don't know if this is a bug or just something that I don't understand... I mainly use my merit points to fill up CR, but occasionally I use them for initiative to speed up the CR regen. As the news section says, "2010-09-25 17:55 Each initiative point now knocks down the CR refill timer by 2...

    Problems and Bugs

I just claimed the medal which is supposed to drop the insurgency by 20 points. Didn't do anything - probably because the one I wanted dropped is still at 100% - the other two are completely locked down. Has anyone tried this medal and had it work?
