I've been working in the Reserves since June 25, 2009. I remember, when I went to the Armories to be sworn in my Commanding Officer told me "...you will always remember this, as the day you became a member of the Canadian Armed Forces...". Unfortunately, whenever I'm asked when I joined i say "I joined on the same day Michael Jackson died".
