Spent 5ish years with the The Queens Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada back in the mid 90s. One of the best times of my life, and looking back now, I regret not sticking it out, but there were issues, and I just got fed up with it all. So now, I am disabled, due to rheumatoid arthrits, and spend small amounts of time in the shed making custom knives, and generally taking it easy, because my body doesn't allow me to do very much anymore.
