Battalion Commanders in World War 1​

Several very interesting lectures here including some by Tim Cook on the Cdns.

This video is somewhat in the context of Montgomery 's methods while commanding South East Command in 1942 to get rid of Cdn CO's as:

.....he was recognized as a first-rate trainer of troops, with a forcible insistence on physical fitness, youth, and efficiency in leadership.
 
They do a weekly zoom call on Mondays at 2000 hrs UK time (4PM Halifax) with a guest presenter and a Q&A Period afterwards that their membership can join.

Some fascinating history that they have turned up over the years.
 
I liked the presentation they recently had on the 4th Canadian Division in Sept 1918, and how the official history got it wrong.
