Going in for my DEC appt with the shrink next week. CM asked if I was on LTD from an outside source? Yes Iam, how does this make a difference either way? Do I need to get off my LTD(quit my job) before applying for DEC? Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, looked up the policy on DEC...
Iam pensioned for a back condition, I currently go to Chiropractic and massage for treatment, VAC covered. Tried Physio and didn't like it, I want athletic therapy instead. Asked CM and this was her response:
Athletic Therapy may be covered with VAC if the athletic therapy
treatments are part...
After a report from my MD and one from my psychiatrist, the BPA lawyer submitted the claim back for a departmental review. Now to wait a year for results from that. lol
Hi, AirDet
So I went back to my MD and he wrote a letter stating my hypertension started around the same time as my diagnosis of PTSD, BP readings previous were 138 over 82 consistently. The NP at the OSI clinic here is a bitch, no support from her at all. She fills out VAC paperwork as judge...
A fellow at the OSI told me about a UN pension that exists. Tried the google machine and could not find anything. A friend has an injury in a SDA on a UN mission, curious if anyone has ever heard of such a thing? And how to apply. TIA
Has anyone has success with a hypertension claim consequential to PTSD? VAC requires medical evidence despite a letter from a Psychiatrist from the OSI clinic. Iam unsure what else they are looking for. Any help is appreciated. TIA

I have a disability award for Major Depressive Disorder(MDD) consequential to Tinittus. During sessions with a psychologist at the OSI clinic, she states I have PTSD from related service. Called the VAC benefits unit and was told that b/c I have MDD, I cannot claim for PTSD, apparently b/c they...
This benefit code is for the emergency communication cellular services. Has anyone received this benefit, or know the eligibility requirements? I asked my CM about it, he seemed unsure and said he would look into it. Can't find any other info on it. TIA
FYI: VAC will cover up to $500.00 towards a TENS machine, once every 5 years. You will need a prescription and have a need based upon your claimed condition.
ie: Back Injury - needed to treat chronic pain.
I have a lower back injury that I am receiving benefits for, VAC covers massage and chiropractic. Does anyone know if VAC covers the cost of a TENS machine, through Blue Cross. TIA
