I just checked with my File Manager (Toronto) upon receiving my offer. I also plan to do a lot of travelling prior to enrollment and he said it's completely fine.

I suspect that there are other Infantry (and Combat Arms) DEOs who have been selected but are not currently informed because the BMOQ dates are set so far away. File Manager doesn't know when Phase 2 starts, but said it would be at least 2 weeks after the completion of BMOQ.
