Finally got the call today! August 29th, going Infantry.

Of course I do. The problem is that this article reads like some doomsday warning "Ice is melting, we're all going to die"! Even if all of the ice sheet on Greenland melted it would take hundreds to thousands of years for that to happen. Unless something really bad happens in which case I think...

You're right, just tried it and nothing happened. The rise I was seeing before was from thermal expansion after the ice had melted. After doing some reading water is one of the few things denser when it's a liquid then when it's a solid. So ya a claim of 6m is ridiculous to say the least.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't ice expand when it melts? A solid is more dense then a liquid. I know that if I leave ice in a drink and it melts the level does rise.

I applied almost a year ago for Infantry and I'm still waiting (on the merit list but the last time I spoke to a recruiter they said i'd be waiting until 2011)... If money is the biggest issue then SigOps needs lots of people from what I've heard.

It says that all recruiting centres are closed from the 1st to the 5th on the forces.ca so I'd just wait until next week to call them. http://www.forces.ca/html/locateus_en.aspx

Simply put. Infantry has no more open positions until April 2010 because they reached the quota for the year. I'm waiting too ;D
