Do reserves ever get deployed and how likely is it? I ask because I'm interested in peacekeeping (which some of you might view as a waste of time, but that would be a different topic), but would like to join the reserves so I can pursue a civilian career as well. Thanks.

The "Preparation for Basic Training: Physical Fitness Guide" states that a score of 6.0 for men under 35 is required (4.0 for woman, and 5.0 and 3.0 for men and women respectively who are over 35). I'm not sure what these numbers mean, can anyone explain? Thanks.

Yes, I have the minimum requirements, I was thinking more on the lines of what would make a competitive application.

I don't believe I currently have competitive enough qualifications, but I was wondering if anyone knows what qualifications are important when applying to be a medical technician in a reserve unit? Thanks.
