According to the forces.ca website it looks like many trades have reopened up and are "now hiring". Tried calling the CFRC but no answer. Anyone have any insider info? Specifically Infantry and Armour officer.
I was in a CFRC today and a recruiter showed me his updated list of trades. According to him each trade is ranked 1 to 5 with the more competitive trades being ranked higher.
Yeah I hope I am too. The sooner the better. I think the DEO course dates on Sept. 16 and 30 are for trades that are open but who knows.... keep our fingers crossed!
My file manager and interviewer. I know things change all the time but as far as they knew both trades were closed for the fiscal year. Did your interviewer not mention that?

I was in a similar situation to you and here is what I had to do. First off, they will only accept your application for officer if you are enrolled in your last semester of school. I had to get a document from my registrar stating that I was scheduled to graduate in April of 2013 even though I...
During my medical I experienced a spike on blood pressure about 150/90. This is all news to me I have it and long story short I need to get my doctor to sign a paper before my medical gets sent off.
Ive read you can do things to bring it down without meds such as diet, exercise. I think it was...
Applications are in, just like you. Ive seen your screen name on the blue line forums. Im in the process with alot of agencies right now, along with the military.
Interesting perspective about the NCM MPs doing actual police work while MPOs take over the administrative side. Ive always wanted to be a police officer, but also want to use my Criminology degree and leadership skills to lead a group of people. Wuld MPOs be considered legal officers and get...
After doing some research it seems to me that because policing is a specialized trade, NCM MP's get promoted to Corporal after basic training and MPO's go right to Lieutenant. My question is this: After looking at the pay scales a new MP would make $4622 per month while a MPO LT will makeles at...
Wait im confused. Did the CF turn down your application 3 years ago when you applied due to drug use? Or are you saying that last month (January) was the last time you smoked pot? Im pretty sure they want at least 6 months before you can apply.
Maybe someone else can chime in.
I called them last week and they said they received the documents, but I still have not gotten any call from the local RC to book anything. Anyone apply after the new year and been scheduled for testing at their local RC?
I mailed everything to the CFVRC around 2 weeks ago and still havent got any confirmation that they have received my documents. Anyone else in the same boat?
