Sexual Assault & Sexual Misconduct in the CF

Did you delete my post where I said Vance might be CDS sooner than we think? Yes I'm serving and yes I stand by that.

All things Intended Place of Residence/IPR (merged)

Anyway, I will report back here on DCBA conclusion, good or bad. I actually expect bad - ie nothing will change. But maybe, just maybe someone will force a closer look at how this is formulated. Or maybe not.  :)

All things Intended Place of Residence/IPR (merged)

I love you, but that is a bit harsh. I told each of these people "no I'm screwed, here is Ch 14, see?" They convinced me otherwise. It won't HURT to get a clarification on this situation. Is IPR for someone with my years, who has rarely used Brookfield for anything, supposed to amount to 2G and...

All things Intended Place of Residence/IPR (merged)

Resurrecting a dead thread. Some people more senior to me are convinced that I must go to DCBA with this. They insist that the basic intent of IPR has been bypassed in my case. The manual, badly written as it is, does not constitute Canadian Forces Orders or Directives. DCBA needs to see that...

Nothing. I didn't even bother to look up what was available then, because I happily stayed in the same house and worked PRes at same base.

I have to say it really is amazing how many (including those working at Releases) look at that policy manual and conclude that the list of benefits is what you get, period. I'm not the only person who ever did not go a few pages further and study the funding formula. It's akin to being one of...

Maybe this is a really silly question, but here goes: Movers packing, loading, transporting my stuff: What pot of money does that come out of, or am I paying for that too?

"Look at all these benefits available to you under an IPR 4a release!! Unfortunately, there is very little funding available to you." I wish they had just said that on day 1.

All things Intended Place of Residence/IPR (merged)

Well, I thought I would get the core benefits too, but the core formula does not allow for it. What a ****ed up way of presenting things in the manual. Baffles me that they list all those benefits, but how can you possibly pay for them?

The realtor % on a Brookfield move, which I am obviously paying for, is much less than normal - so there is that, I suppose.

At the end of the day I think it is really amazing that after 33 years, some Reg, some Res, finally getting pensionable, I get 2G benefit for an IPR move. What was the point of even dealing with Brookfield?

All things Intended Place of Residence/IPR (merged)

Wow. I think you have solved this for me. Thanks so much. It sucks!! How can they list all of those things under Custom Benefits, then a few paragraphs later show a Custom formula that will never really amount to much? The two things don't really match in any way whatsoever.

All things Intended Place of Residence/IPR (merged)

Sorry, but I am still confused. What about all the Custom benefits listed? I am being told that Custom benefits in my case amounts to $1300 - no money for Realtor fees, land transfer, etc etc.....all the things you need to pay for Sale Of House and Purchase of House. Why are those things not...

Wow. OK. Let me ponder that for a bit. Really appreciate the help. If this is the case, it would be nice to have had this explanation from Brookfield.

The key people (so far) are IC Relocation Coord for my release base and IC Release Section for my release base. I think that is a pretty good start. Please tell me why you think it is "obvious why this hasn't happened" (even though it has happened.) Thanks.

Rgr that. If it is determined that there is nothing concrete that merits this strange decision on the part of Fuckfield, I am very aware that the fight will be long and hard. And it won't even be about the money. On so many levels this just seems wrong to me. If I cannot get those benefits at...

I really REALLY appreciate that some of you folks are looking at this. Thanks so much. I have a couple of key people in Release world looking into this. DCBA memo is the next step if I don't get a satisfactory explanation. This all blew up just yesterday. Closing on both houses is late May.

http://www.forces.gc.ca/en/about-policies-standards-benefits-relocation/2011-2012-directive-ch14.page For reference. 14.2.03 criteria table, 14.3.07 my supposed benefits. I am still baffled that this is not clear to Fuckfield. What part of this did they look at and decide to modify?
