Wounded Warriors.ca needs your help

WoundedWarriors.ca is honoured to be named the benefit charity for the iceskating team of Bob Probert and Kristina Lenko on the upcoming CBC show "Battle of the Blades".

This Sunday, 8 PM October 4, 2009 on CBC is the broadcast premiere of "Battle of the Blades." Basically it is a "So You Think You Can Dance", Canadian version, on ice skates. The idea is that each competing pair, skates for their chosen charity. The good news is Bob Probert and Kristina Lenko are skating for the troops. While all are worthy charities we hope that WoundedWarriors.ca wins big.

This works like other shows (think American Idol) - whoever gets the most votes, Wins!

...so we need to get out the vote. Tell all your Facebook/Twitter/Internet friends as well as anyone else you know. Be part of this grass root movement... a vote for Probert/Lenko is a vote for the troops.

Please do what you can and encourage all your friends to vote! In addition you can go online and become a fan of the Probert/Lenko team.

Can you clarify what charity this is formally named on the www.cra.gc.ca website?

The "legal" name of the charity listed on the CRA web sitr is "The Sapper Mike McTeague Wounded Warrior Fund". The reason we go with woundedwarriors.ca is for to keep it simple and to drive folks to the web site. Over time we found folks were having some difficulty remembering the name etc. This is a rather common practice having a legal name and using a branded name that is easy to remember web sit friendly and marketable.

Just watched - Probert's gonna need our help!  The marks the judges give don't mean anything tonight, but regardless they weren't strong.  I'm not a figure skater, but given that he skated in hockey skates and looked more than a little wooden, he's not going to win on his figure skating skills, not this week anyway!
