Contract lengths for armoured officer/soldier?

I am planning on finishing my bachelor and master's is one go, and I want to join the army after as an armoured officer/soldier. After that I want to go back to school for my PhD. How long will the contract be for those two occupations? I want to serve my country and be able to go back to school before I turn 33.
