Furious males demand WW2 video game remove option for players to fight as women

Too bad they don't have proper battle procedure, or battle drills, built in to those games. They'd be an awesome way to save money for the Infantry.

We wouldn't even have to deploy to the field.

Me too it was probably my most favorite game in the series. Really enjoyed the more arcade style play and story line was great. Actually got choked up a couple times when Bayek was sitting around talking to his son stargazing, considering the story line.

Had more to ask but think I'll shoot you a PM instead.

There are games which do have things like that, they just tend to not be popular. Games like Red Orchestra 2 Rising Storm is a great example of one which gets as close to realistic as possible. Lack of maps, machine gun barrels need to be changed, squad orders and commands, arty support, sight adjustment for range, you die extremely quickly (i.e. one to two shots maximum on you), eventually when you reload you get back to your half empty magazine you switched out a while ago. The problem with games like that is they only appeal to a very limited audience as it is so difficult to actually play the game effectively.

Just like real war

Don't mess with gamers, they are a fickle bunch

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/20/cowen-predicts-eas-battlefield-v-will-be-a-serious-disappointment-citing-weak-pre-orders.html

analyst said preorders for "Battlefield V" are tracking more than 85 percent behind "Call of Duty: Black Ops 4," which is substantially worse than previous instances. "Battlefield 3" and "Battlefield 4" titles lagged "Call of Duty" by about 20 percent to 40 percent and "Battlefield 1" actually tracked ahead of "Call of Duty" at this point before launch.

"This is very far off the tracking levels of previous Battlefield titles in 2011, 2013, and 2016," he said. "With a release date directly in between CoD and RDR, we worry that BFV could be headed for a similar fate as 2016's Titanfall 2, which got squeezed out by its launch date directly between Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare."

The analyst said the 13 million to 14 million unit sales, which he estimates is factored into EA's guidance for the title, is not looking achievable.

Mess with gamers, tell them to suck it up or don't buy the game, gamers will gladly not buy the game.

The man who said to put up with it or don't buy the game has left the company btw

There is the fact that there is nothing new in Battlefield V.  Battlefield 1 did amazing because it was WW1, which had never been done before.  The adds and marketing were spot on.  Haven't seen a single add for BFV.  No buzz.  Not interesting.  Couldn't care less about the male, female controversy.

Maybe they'll learn their lesson.

Then again they seemed oblivious to an "authentic ww1 game" that featured a Scottish women on the front lines wearing war paint, some kind of augmented arm and futuristic gun.

I don't think it's so much that gamers are being chauvinist or mysognistic but rather the developers were retarded.

Couldn't care less about the male female controversy, I draw the line at robotic arms and non recognizable uniforms though
