Hey how's it going? I'm 16 and here in Ottawa, and I know I want a military career (atleast while I'm young and able.) Definitly Infantry. Now I've already gone over the official forces site gathering my info and I already know I need my mom to sign that piece of paper letting me go. 
I'm going to the city this weekend to find an actual recruiter, but I've got a handfull of odd questions I figured people who've already been or still are in the Army can answer. So here goes in random order, if you can answer any of this let me know;
1. I love guns, and I'm 'well experienced' with foreign weapons. C-7 is nice, but I honestly don't really like Western rifles. Is there any way whatsoever that during service I can get my hands on a better gun? I'd be willing to pay for it if there was a way the Army could get it for me; I'm thinking Kalashnikov. (Or maybe that new Israeli Tavor but I don't even think they have it in service yet. ;D)
2. When I'm 18 I want to get some real trigger time, and 2 years is a long time for things to change... in the event that Canada is long gone from Afghanistan, will I still be eligable for U.S. foreign enlistment? (I'd probably be better off asking an American but I might as well try here.)
3. I heard this joke a few years back but the way things are getting it honestly wouldn't surprise me at all these days; do they actually give orders in both languages every time, even while taking fire? :
4. Oh, probably most important question; do I have a good chance of getting Infantry? I wouldn't want to get signed up for driving a truck or something... no offense to the brave truck drivers out there: I want to shoot Commies not just ride over their dead.
