Original manufacturer of the 3rd world's ubiquitous rifle likely to fold.  At first I was a bit surprised, but I suppose when you make a simple rifle that is damn near indestructible you are inviting this to happen.  It's pretty ironic how the AK-47s strengths are instrumental in the company's failure

It's not so much that no one needs to buy more as they are undercut by knock-offs. It's pretty shocking that their Izhevsk factory shut down. That place was iconic in firearm history, producing guns long before the AK existed.
