Help to Identify RCN Insignia

In the linked photo, the RCN SLt is wearing an insignia above the rank on his uniform slip-on. Is anyone able to provide information on what the insignia represents? The crest on his left arm is that of the HMCS Harry DeWolf.

That's the mark of the "Bull Sub". A colloquial title for the most senior sub-lieutenant.

It's embroidered on to the slip on. It's not to be worn off the ship.
