I’ve seen similar questions but have one specific to CPP offsets. If I receive the minimum IRB, after 65 it reduces to 70%. This much I’m clear on. I can’t seem to wrap my head around CPP offsets. It seems to me that collecting CPP at any age, will be IRB - CPP (offset) + CPP (income) = the exact same monthly payment. Choosing to collect CPP or not, doesn’t change my monthly benefit total. Does this sound right?

Correct. Collecting CPP does not change your IRB, because CPP is an offset dollar for dollar. You need to communicate your intentions of when you begin to collect CPP, if you choose to delay, or draw early, because VAC will assume age 65.
