Limited information - Looking for a Kris who was in the Military in 2001!

I don't remember much. His name was Kris, I don't remember his last name. He was originally from Ontario. Perhaps the most identifying piece of information is that he was at the 9/11 ceremony in Washington that was held a few days after the attacks. Any help would be appreciated!

Kris spelt with a K is uncommon, how do you know he spelt it like that and not Chris?

Could be significant.
