Made my day - Unexpected Surprise

This made my day.

I was working on with someone at my desk and he noticed some military pictures.  He asked if I was in the Reserve. After telling him yes he simply said “Thank You”.
I took that not as thanks for me but as thanks for all Canadian Soldiers, I explained that there are quite a few from my unit who are have served, presently serving or on pre-deployment training for Afghanistan.

This is the first time something like this has happened to me at work it sure made my day.

I've had it happen to me a few times. It sure makes you warm and fuzzy inside.

Well as a civi waiting for the DND to call I'd just like to thank all reservists and reg force members. It takes a lot to do what you do and I can only hope that I can be as good you are.

That is nice to hear appreciation. I am not a serving member but a spouse and I am thankful for our troops cause I live the way I do because of them
