Hello,
I'm a first year university student applying to the civilian ROTP program. I filled out my enrollment forms, completed the CFAT and brought in all the necessary documents.
I have applied to the army a few times already. In the summer of this year, I applied to the reserve force. In the medical forms I indicated that I have a history of anxiety and depression for which I am currently taking medication. I was also prescribed ADHD medication without being officially diagnosed with it. I have been hospitalized for attempting suicide about 4 months ago. At my reserve force medical interview, I was given forms for my family doctor to fill out. However, the medical technician said that while I could try, the chances of me getting in are practically 0. So I ended up voluntarily withdrawing.
This year, I am keen in applying for ROTP. I believe that I am a disciplined and diligent individual, despite the impulsive decision that I sadly made this year. I have actually been feeling much better for the last year, and I have observed much improvements in my condition.
Is there even the slightest chance that I could be even considered?
