HI,

I had my medical interview and phone interview done 7 months back. Then they asked me fill DND 2780 as I am 40 years old. I got it filled and sent 15 days afterwards. I got confirmation from CAF that they have received the form. But afterwards I have not seen any movement in my application status. The status is still showing as "Ready for Medical/Interview". I am perfectly healthy and do not have any medical problems. All my parameters are perfect. Has anyone faced this much delay as well.

I would say 7 months is long enough that it is worth it to visit your CFRC and ask them for an update. Maybe they need something else but they didn't tell you.

That happens sometimes

Don't rely on your online profile status. All my tests were done (Physical, Medical, Interview) and i'm waiting for Ottawa currently, and my online displays still my profile as ''Prospect'' and at the very first stage of the process lol.

Keep pushing your CFRC to get updates. Call them every two weeks and ask questions if any other document is required or missing, because 7 months is a long time without getting any updates.

I did my medical on Dec. 12th and still waiting after Ottawa to see if i'm medicaly fit. This waiting time is ridiculous considering some people have been considered medicaly fit well inside 2 weeks.

Did you have any extra forms that needed filling in by family doc or specialists? Those are often the rate limiting step. As I've mentioned previously many moons ago, there are 3 piles of files that go to the Recruit Medical Office - Recommend Immediate Enrollment, Need Further Information, and what I call the "No Freakin Way File" or Not Recommended for Enrollment. The "Need Further Info" pile is the deepest, and with a lot of those files, they not only need going through, but letters done up explaining what else may be needed or reasons for declined enrollment. There are also limited folks reviewing those files, which further adds to the delay. The folks with Recommend Immediate often get sorted through quickest - they're the easiest to deal with, as are the "NFW" ones.

I've heard that (allegedly) more folks have been hired, but that's a relative thing - hiring only one or two folks wouldn't put nearly the same dent in things as hiring a slew of folks. Sorry to hear you've been waiting so long.

Many thanks for your input on this, I appreciate your time. Let's hope that letter comes in quick as i've been told they need extra informations since Feb 8th, and still waiting.
