Hello!

Can anyone tell me anything about the World War II Canadian Army unit called "No. 6 District Depot"? How did it fit into the larger army? I cannot find it on any lists of World War II units. It is on my late grandfather's Discharge Certificate. He was from Nova Scotia and was shipped out to England sometime in 1941 He was discharged in 1946 when on Demboilization. I am having trouble finding any informaiton on my grandfather anywhere. I also have his service number.

Please e-mail me off the forum because I don't usually hang out here. My e-mail address is mareshm@gmail.com

Thanks,
Melanie

MilItary District 6 consisted of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, headquartered in Halifax.  "No. 6 District Depot"  was the default unit for troops in the area that weren't members of another unit.
