I am just recently joining up for the reserves, and I just had a few question on the type of training that you would go through, along with regular forces.   I am most interested in becoming an Infantry Soldier, and I realize that in training, you do some rappelling from walls or from the face of a cliff, which I have no problem doing.   However, my main concern is jumping out of air planes.   Is parachuting common in infantry Soldier training(for both reserve and regular forces), and is it required to pass training?

Thanks for your time.

Parachute training is neither common, nor is it a required part of infantry training. Please start with the Infantry and Recruiting FAQs for a good source of initial threads on training.
