Reinstating an application

Good evening folks.

This website is an astonishing wealth of information. For the last several years I have lurked here learning as much as I possibly can about joining the Reserves. More often than not, the search function has been the go-to method. Right now though, I can't seem to find an answer regarding how long the CF will keep an application open. In my case, it was 2013 (maybe early 2014?) when I took the lure of money over the Reserves just before Merit listing (did not hand in my medical to the Armoured). Passed CFAT and the physical (at 47). Now that the employment situation has resolved itself I find my urge to join as urgent as it was before. So the question is: how long do (or did) I have until they trashed the app?
I know the answer is to call the unit but they aren't returning emails. Or phone calls. And yes, I will go down to see them on Wednesday. Just looking for answers for the dinner table.HKHGWP

From a CAF Recruiter,

If your file was closed last Apr (ie; Apr 14), then there is NO requirement for you to reapply online again and your CFRC can just "re-open" your file and continue on where they left off.  The ONLY time you have to reapply online, is if your previous application to the CAF has been CLOSED for more than one year.  Anyhow, once your application is reopened, they should be able to pull your file and tell you what documentation they require to continue the process.
