I read in the book "Ultimate Risk" that the taliban are quite skilled at firing RPGs in the indirect role . Great book , tells the story of SAS conducting a 2 sqaudron attack on an opium processing facility in the early days of the Afghanistan War . The area that they conducted the attack is SW of Kandahar . They basically inserted there pinkies with Hercules and conducted a frontal attack on an Opium processing facility with bare minimum air support [ next to nil] .Ther is alot of great information in the book about the area , terrain , adversary , and methods that the Taliban employ . It seems that area is awash in drugs and warlords/druglords .
