Any ideas where I can purchase a rifle green beret that has a sewn-in badge backing plate? The Canex version I just received does not have the backing plate. Any help would be appreciated.

I was going to send you to the PPCLI KitShop - but they don't appear to carry berets anymore.

A google search shows Logistik carries them - based on thread here -

I still have three berets from my service - which ended over 20 years ago, they don't really wear out when they collect dust on a shelf.

Thanks for the lead but I just checked the Logistik site and it looks like you have to be a serving member with an active service number to register (my veteran's service number did not work when I tried it).

Get what's available, then just cut a backing from a milk jug or similar. Cut a slot for whatever type of badge you're using.

Try the C&E Museum in Kingston. They have an online shop and you could call them to see if the berets still have the backing.

CANEX is another option. They have berets in green, guards khaki, midnight blue, black etc.
