Just received over the AF email net.  Sounds like a primo opportunity to me.

Canadian Forces and their families can now use the travel lounge by Palliser in Richardson International Airport free of charge as part of a special pilot project to support troops as they travel. Col. Gary Solar said Winnipeg's airport is the first in the country to offer Canadian Forces a place to rest and relax as they travel. Last year, more than 40,000 CF members used Richardson International airport to travel to places like Alberta for training.

Cheers

Jackpot. Does it just apply on flights relating to military duties, or during personal travel too? Lets hope Pearson adopts this policy.

Got this e-mail as well. Pretty good of the folks at the WAA to open this place up.

So I'm in the Palliser Lounge at the moment and its great.  All you require is your Mil Id and your boarding pass to enter.  They have free internet, tons of chairs and couches to sit on, and quite relaxing inside. ;D

FYI for military spouses who wish to wait in the lounge prior to the arrival of the military member will need a military family ID (as the military member is on route and therefore can't get there spouse in) for them to be able to get in.  At least that is how it was explained to us in our O Group.

Hmmm wonder if something happens if I send a copy of the Email to the Montreal Airport authority.......

Can't hurt... I guess ???
