The Track Way is a portable road that allows combat vehicles to traverse soft ground without bogging down or damaging the ground. It can be used during amphibious landings, bridge approaches, and to repair runways. <br />
<br />
The Track Way consists of a number of small panels and hinge sets assembled together to obtain the required length of road. The hinge sets are installed at 10m intervals and allow breaking of the Track Way at different lengths. Using the Track Way Launch and Recovery System (TLARS), up to five sets of track can be carried at one time for a total length of 50m. An unlimited number of track sets can be connected together on the ground.<br />
