  1. Historic rank titles in use also include Trooper (Armoured), Gunner (Artillery), Sapper (Engineers), Rifleman (Rifle Regiment), Fusilier (Fusilier Regiment), Craftsman (EME).
  2. Historic rank titles in use include Bombardier (Artillery)
  3. A Corporal may be appointed Master Corporal (MCpl) as part of the normal rank progression. He is called a Master Bombardier (MBdr) in the artillery.
