Company of Mounted Infantry

Two companies organized as one company for administrative purposes, and also comprised of a School of Instruction (School of Mounted Infantry) was organized in Winnipeg on 20 July 1885 by General Order 21/85


Royal School of Mounted Infantry

School Redesignated: Royal School of Mounted Infantry 15 July 1887 by General Order 13/87

Canadian Mounted Rifles Corps

The Company of Mounted Infantry reorganized as a troop of cavalry and redesignated Canadian Mounted Rifles Corps The Royal School of Mounted Infantry was redesignated Royal School of Instruction 7 August 1891 by General Order 15/91
