My kids sled rope broke. So now it has to be upgraded. The deal is I lug them to the hill and through the forest home but they do all the running up and down the hill.

I'm trying to remember how the snow sled harness was tied, but can't remember exactly. I also thought there may be a better way to make one using available bits like para cord, nylon rope and biners.

Any advice?

Princess auto nearby? A cheap (Read: powerfist) axle strap would be perfect.

Use as a hip belt, bit of rope to hang it from your shoulders (Hips should bare the weight, the rope around the back of the neck and shoulders should be just to keep the hip belt in place), then a bit more rope from the d-rings on the axle strap back to a carabiner attached to a loop or d ring or eye bolt on the sled.

$6.99, should serve the purpose as a hip belt well.
