I just exchanged my helm for a smaller one, and it fits me alot better, but my only issue is, i wish the straps were a little longer, any suggestion on what i can do, i don't want to exchange the whole helm...

In all seriousness, without spending 250 dollars for a chin strap, (and I'm assuming you checked with your RQMS, ASU, etc. to see if they come in different sizes), take the old one off the helmet and into a shoemaker and ask if they can make a bigger one for you.

Why wouldn't you want to exchange the whole helmet? One's as good as the next.

I can honestly say the $200(!!!!) investment was one of the only "gucci" kit purchases I have ever done and I don't feel I wasted any cash. Suprisingly I managed to pull off wearing the thing during my whole DP3 course at the Armour School.  I was happy with it.  Would I buy it again?  Yes.

I think its a Coyote. It sort of looks like the inside of a LAV, minus some gear, minus the ramp, and minus the keen fighting edge of the infantry.  ;D

The pics also avoid the serv op equipment. I've never been in a Coyote, but thats my best guess.

I know for sure its not a LAV, Bison, Nyala, M113, G-Wagon, ML, LS, HL, Griffon, HMCS Halifax, or CF-18.

*EDIT* Blackhawk, I may be able to help you with your helmet problem. I'll find you tomorrow at work.

2nd EDIT Ref the vehicle, you can also ALMOST make out a "B" and a "C" on the guy's slip on in the last pic. 12 RBC maybe?

Can anyone guess the vehicle im in looking at my avatar?

HAHA!!

Here I am thinking I'm the keenest mofo on these boards with such an eye for detail that I can guess the type of a vehicle I've never been in from only a few pics of the interior...

...And the distinguishing unit was right under my nose!!!!! :-[

Wonderbread: qualified AFV Recognition Level 3 000 000 but still right the fuck out to lunch!!! :p

Look at the case of grazed and half eaten rations at your fingertips!  No wonder you need a new chinstrap!

;D

Okay guys, we are starting to mix up who is who here.. my chinstrap is fine.. I have the rations beside me.. I am in a LAV Coyote.

Now, for the lost_warrior..I have no clue, the avatar is pretty darn small.. upload a bigger pic and then I'll guess.

Looking at the headset, I can tell it is not a tracked vehicle (unless they issued you an incorrect headset, tracks need sound baffling).

Well, you are correct when you say it's not a tracked vehicle.  I am in the back seat of the (not so mighty) MilCot.  You can tell from the cabin wall right behind me and the color of the roof.  But yea, it wasn't very obvious.
