TRENTON — An arrest warrant for first degree murder has been issued for 37-year-old Marcus Wilson, of Quinte West.

Police believe Wilson has been in the Belleville area and may be headed for Hamilton.

Military police at CFB Trenton, responded to a 911 call yesterday at a residence on the base.

Thirty-six-year-old James Read was found outside and taken to hospital where he died.

The joint investigation by the Canadian Forces National Investigation Service and the OPP is continuing.

Wilson is 5' 7" and 160 pounds, with brown hair, has a blue dot tattoo on his left hand and a scar on his right cheek under his eye. "

Police consider him to be armed and dangerous.

An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow in Toronto.

Police issue arrent warrant for Quinte West resident Marcus Wilson

TRENTON -- A Quinte West man was murdered at CFB Trenton, on Sunday morning.

The Quinte West OPP is searching for Marcus Wilson after James Read, 36, was found outside a Regina Street home by Military Police responding to a 911 call on Sunday, July 26, at 9:45 am. Mr. Read was taken to Trenton Memorial Hospital where he died from his injuries.

A post mortem has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, at the Chief Coroner’s Office in Toronto.

“There was trauma to the body,” OPP spokesperson Sergeant Kristine Rae.

Sgt. Rae said Mr. Wilson and Mr. Read knew each other. Neither were military personnel. An arrest warrant for Mr. Wilson, of Quinte West, was issued Sunday morning. He is wanted on a charge of first-degree murder.

Mr. Wilson is 5’7” and 160 pounds with medium length brown hair and hazel eyes. He has a blue dot tattooed on his left hand and a scar on his right cheek under his eye. He was last seen wearing a black and white ball cap, a dark blue T-shirt and black jogging pants.

Police believe Mr. Wilson was in the Belleville area and may head to Hamilton. Police consider him to be armed and dangerous.

The joint investigation between Canadian Forces National Investigation Service and the OPP is continuing.

Mr. Wilson is encouraged to turn himself in to the nearest police agency
