One of the easiest specializations to understand is that of the Sniper. The role Snipers play is very different from that of a Soldier, that much should be clear, and if you have the right characteristics as an individual and a soldier, you may be right for Sniper school.

As for additional pay, I know the CF lists pay grades including "specialist" categories, but wouldn't be able to confirm that a specialist is someone like a Sniper or not, though I would imagine so.

A sniper is just an infantry soldier with different courses (no offense to any snipers) they don't get any extra pay or anything.  Latrine2 stick to talking about stuff you know instead of wildly speculating incorrect information.

A sniper is an infantryman, albeit a highly trained one. No one joins the CF as a "Sniper". If you want to become a sniper, you have to join the infantry. The sniper is not a "Specialist" trade in the CF context of trades.
Not only that, the snipers are experts in their particular field. Trust me, the sniper role is not that "easy to understand".
I will concur with Dangerboy on this one. Stay within your arcs of fire.

I can understand people's interest in being a sniper but honestly Pathfinders are a lot more badass. Just saying.

And this from someone basedon their profile and posts isn't in yet let alone a pathfinder. ::) As noted stay in your arcs.

I think we're done here....locked with the usual caveats.
