1.1 Project Overview
1.1.1 The Department of National Defence (DND), Directorate of Aerospace Equipment Program Management - Fighters & Trainers (DAEPM (FT)), has a requirement for an airworthiness accredited contractor to provide for long term in-service support for designated CF188 Avionics Systems (AVS), Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and CF188 specialized support equipment. The in-service support contract will contain complete Program Management Support, Engineering Support, Maintenance Support, Materiel Support and Technical Information Support. The Contractor will be directly responsible and accountable for system availability and performance through day-to-day management, direction, control of program activities and resources, and will be given authority to carry out these responsibilities. The Contractor will provide support to various locations, including but not limited to, National Defence Headquarters (NDHQ), Ottawa, Ontario and two Main Operating Bases (MOB): 3 Wing Bagotville Quebec and 4 Wing Cold Lake Alberta. In the event of deployed operations, the Contractor will coordinate with DND to fully support the deployment.
