I am common law now and am going on course for 2 months this summer. Do res get the sweet separation pay?

If you are going on course outside of the geographical area of your home unit, you will be on Temporary Duty and receive incidentals at the rate of $17.30/day for the first 30 days then at the rate of $13.00/day from there on.  Personnel on Temporary Duty status and in receipt of incidentals are not eligible for Separation Expense.  That said, ask your Orderly Room for a copy of the Canadian Forces Temporary Duty Travel Instructions.  It has all the duff gen you will ever want to know about TD.  Cheers.

A little old but, thought it better to put it here rather than start a new thread.
Just received word today, (or rather that be rumour) that personal on IR within the BN will be receiving the Full Sep Exp, regardless of whether they return home on weekends to Winnipeg. Only when there is a short day given or annual taken ect... will the member have to claim as time away from the unit. Anyone else here anything about changes to Sep Exp claims? (Info came from staff within the BnOR)
