Is there a non-DIN site out there that gives detailed instructions/information about uniforms?  Specifically, I'm trying to figure out where to sew the rank on my DEUs.  Other useful information would be standards for boot lacing, positioning of medals, pins etc...  Maybe this is something that could be added to this site?

Thanks to anybody who can tell me where the rank goes relative to the shoulder seam!

Your OR should have a paper copy of the dress regs still. We actually managed to sew our stuff in the proper place before the Internet and the DIN.

I had to get mine ready too, but I didn't have to do the sewing myself just handed them in to the ASU and they're doing it for me.  The 2 previous topics should have everything you need though to do it yourself.

I know that I could get the information from my OR, Acorn, but I just found out that I need my DEUs ready on short notice (ie tomorrow) and there doesn't seem to be anybody in the OR at this hour.  Thanks for the info, Quiet Riot.

Congratualtions on your short notice promotion combined with the short notice need for DEU.  ::)

Well, in Petawawa, we just take it over to base clothing and let the tailor do the job.............. No heartache and you know it's going to be in the right place  ;D

You can do that in Pet!?  That has got to be the greatest idea ever!

We also took it at the taylor in Borden, she did it and it was in the right place.... I was not going to stress about that... I have better things to do in my free time  ;D

I am sure if you go to base clothing on ANY base you can get them to sew on your badges onto your uniforms.
