Jeremy Clarkson, on Cars

Why do the British drink warm beer?,they have Lucas refrigerators.
Lucas ,the people who invented darkness.
On the other hand tell me about the Canadian automotive achievements?,
the DeLorean doesn't count.
I do not think Top Gear should not be taken too seriously as a critical
automobile TV magazine.
                              Regards

The DeLorean was built in Ireland.  I think you are thinking of the Bricklin.  Google him and you with see what comes up!!!! Or both for that matter.

Canada's auto industry has had great stories

The McLaughlin Buick - fit of a King and was.
The first mini van.
Ontario is the largest auto producer in NA we beat Michigan last year.
Many if the world auto execs are Canadian running Chyrsler, Fiat, etc.
Ontario Toyota is only plant that produces a Lexus outside of Japan.
Oshawa Gm was the largest auto producer is NA and one of the largest in the world.  The others being Wolfberg, Toyota City and the Old Lada plant.

It burns my ass when people say we don not have a auto company in Canada.  We very much do.  The Big 3 are the Canadian companies. We signed a treaty saing so.  The Autopact.  The autopact is gone now but the spirit is the same.  DRIVE CANADIAN!!!!!!!

Hamilton was also the home of Studebaker plant, which at one point was the lone operating plant making any of the cars.

Plus we are the home of an all electric production car, oddly enough illegal to own in canada but gaining lots of sales in the US. Go figure!!
