LPC leadership race - 2025

Hi Rick. I wasn’t responding to you on that.

Have a great night.
As I say to the lambs (lambing season started for me saturday morning) "Bed time night night"

No anger, no rage or no poking the whatever you are (Your clearly not a bear)

Personally
WEF was one of the "New World Order" usual suspects well before 2014, but many who throw it out there now didn't worry so much when Harper & Co were in there participating. That said ...

On that level, CANNOT disagree, and like anything from these sorts of gatherings of any stripe, should be taken with a grain of salt.
I'm of the opinion that there are only two groups of people who take the WEF seriously. Conspiracy theorists and the WEF themselves.
And I suspect that both sides need each other more then either wants to think about it.

Survey says: "Leadership race renews interest in Liberals – particularly under Carney – but CPC still leads comfortably"

Some highlights:
  • "Carney has regional strengths compared to Freeland. He holds an advantage in proportion of vote generated for the Liberals in British Columbia (+8) and Ontario (+7). Neither is competitive in the Prairies, and each garner close to equal vote totals in Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
  • Looking at six age and gender combinations, Carney generates higher vote levels for the Liberals among five. Only among women ages 35 to 54 does Freeland bring the Liberals more votes (+7).
  • Notably, the Conservative Party leads in every region other than Quebec and Atlantic Canada by double-digits, regardless of which Liberal leader respondents are assessing."

Extremely interesting that in TO, Carney squeezes out the NDP and Freeland takes vote from the Tories.

I think the stronger Mark Carney's chances of becoming an unelected PM, the more concerned Canadians should be. He's a bit of a chameleon, calling and holding himself up as an outsider, when, in fact, he is the ultimate Insider, with the same trudeau PMO pers moving to and helping him. People like Butts and Telford, whose track records are well known. Consequently, I think we are moving from a troublesome trudeau rule to a much more dangerous one.

I hope, by scrubbing for articles about him, we can get an independent take on who he really is. I'm concerned of some of the things I'm hearing and reading. Becoming PM without a riding, although that is allowed and has been done before. Using the current tariff war to create an national emergency to take power and push his agenda and the national election until 2026. More on that one later.

I'll lead off with some articles, via different stances, about who he is.

Please jump in with your own articles and opinions.

Who is Mark Carney, the man who could be Liberal king?

Who is Mark Carney, and why is Justin Trudeau courting him?

While taxpayers may be impressed (assuming she gets the golden ring and that she follows through, of course), but if she thinks she's having a hard time getting MP endorsements now, offering a smaller pot to the winners of the political hunger games may not be the best approach.

And Team Red promised electoral reform, and greater transparency, and sunnier times, and, and, and…

Fool us once…
