Military Containers! What are they?

Hello everyone,
I came across some military containers. Sealed, never opened. I eventually opened them. Totally empty!
Question: Does anyone know what they might of been? They are as large as a gallon.
Why were they sealed with nothing in them.

I believe they were full of several Liberal administrations' promises to improve/fund/notice the Canadian military. 

Or maybe they were full of some deadly viral agent.  Good thing you opened them.  Never met a CDC guy in person before.

The previous posters are right.  How about a description....cuz I was thinking Sea Cargo Container.

To open something that is obviously military in nature without not knowing what it is is just plain stupid. I hope those people who are out there will think twice before doing something like this again. When in doubt contact the authorities.  :
