I was reading this thread...
http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/105668.0.html
and it states that he had wrote the test before and did not have to rewrite it.

Is that standard? Is there a time limit?

I kinda doubt it applies to me, but I did all the tests, CFAT, physical and w/e back in 1990.
Just for the time frame I will assume I would need to redo everything?

Third the CFAT does not expire. If you want to change your trade choice and you did not score high enough then you will have to rewrite it.

For the PRes, I wrote one in 1989 and did a summer of training.

For my current application, I wrote one in April.

PRes?
Back then it was a regular plain old "join as a full time NCM", not Reserves, or part time or ROTC or anything fancy.
Now it is a regular plain old "join as a full time NCM".
I received a very informative pm that it does not expire, if you qualified back then for the job you are requesting now, you're fine.
If you do request a rewrite and IF you are granted such, they will take the most recent scores into account, even if they are worse than the previous one. I won't take that chance, I know I did exceptionally well way back when.

*edited to add:
Will this possibly also speed up the process for me?
Would they also still have my documents? ie copy of my birth certificate?

Weird....I never ever thought about using scores from back then.  I simply figured that 20+ years later a CFAT would have to be redone.

Your old scores may or may not come into play.  If your previous application predates the latest computer system, CFRIMS, the CFRC most likely won't have them on file.

Probably won't then.  Thy couldn't find my medical records.  Ottawa has records of me....but no medical records from 89.

I have an answer from the CFNRCC, if it 10+ years, everything has to be re-done as it would be in Ottawa but not retrievable :(
