people make mistakes, she isn't some stupid "hood" she a 100 lbs blonde teenage suburbanite and she made a massive mistake.

First off, 100 lbs doesn't really mean anything. I've known many 100 lbs blonde suburbanite teens who've never touched a drop.

Yes, she did make a massive mistake. Here's a list of thing that was hopefully learned:

1. Control the intake of alcohol, and know your limits and levels of intoxication. Learn what ammount of mix you can take.

2. If whenever you drink, you wake up someplace unfamiliar, you should stop drinking to that level, or completely.

3. Have friends who aren't idiots and won't pressure you to drink. Generally, a 100 lbs girl can't go shot to shot with a 300 lbs football player. Why would people expect and egg that on.

It's girls like this that end up staggering up and down the hallways in the shacks with smeared makeup and a missing shoe in a year. Why? They are lacking the experience or smarts to know when to stop.

If she's doing this at 17 - think what she'll be up to in a year - when she can go to the bar!

GO!!!, I'll agree with you on this with a caveat. It's possible she's learned her lesson from this. If not, then yeah, she's the type that ends up as shared kit in the shacks

She is just lucky she doesn't live 1 hour and 15 minutes away from the nearest road, then another 30 minutes away from a hospital. Oh well, enough about my experience with the ER, she made a big mistake, but if it ever happens again with her, and your called, get 911.

I guess if natural selection is our criteria, let's just close all the hospitals and lay off the EMTs now.  Death is the ultimate equal opportunity employer.  If you're meant to survive, you will.  If not, no loss.

Well I just got off the phone with her, shes happy I took her to the hospital, she said she doesn't remember a thing. she woke up someplace she didn't know with no pants on (hospital).
(but who hasn't had this happen  ;))

That's good to know, your conscience should now be clear and self doubts about your actions should be dispelled.

For the rest,

The original poster has his advice and 'attaboy pat on the back'. The thread has taken it's usual turn to where it no longer useful.

The request has been made to reopen this. While I really don't know what else can be said on the topic that started the thread, maybe I'll be suprised. :D

Personally, I'd rather go with the law than having someone possibly DIE in my care. Don't you think the hospital would inform the police as well, not just the ambulance? Furthermore, I'm sure when she comes to she will be glad that her life was valued at what, $200.00? At least she is getting the required medical attention.

Nice tooting of your own horn by the way.

Your one of those people that get punched in the face alot aren't you?

 Way to burn Kyle

On topic: you did the right thing, and hope next time she thinks before drinking a 26er in 15 min.

she threw up in my car and on my jacket which I "lent" her, its all good though,

Welcome to the glamorous world of first aid.  ;D
Even in the little experience I have, a little puke is the least of your worries. (Read: Loss of consciousness can equal loss of control of... umm... bodily functions.)

Unconsciousness = Life threatening situation.

If you cannot wake someone, call 911.

I guess that that was why a "request has been made to reopen this"...

No it wasn't, but it has more than proved my point to the member that thought I was being unfair and heavy handed by locking it in the first place.
