Hi all,
I have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a Master's degree, and I’m currently working full-time in the engineering field, which I love. Becoming a military officer has been my childhood dream, and now I’m thinking of enrolling as a Direct Entry Officer in the Reserve as an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer (EME) officer.

What would my starting rank be as an EME officer? Also, could anyone share a timeline of the training process and career progression, including how rank changes from the moment I enroll?

Thanks for any insights!

To add more context to my original question, regarding Basic Military Qualification (BMQ) and Basic Military Officer Qualification (BMOQ), I found on the official site (Joining the Canadian Armed Forces | Canadian Armed Forces) that BMQ lasts 9 weeks, with an additional 4 weeks for BMOQ. Is there any specialized training for Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (EME) officers? I’m specifically interested in part-time training, so if you have the timeline for that, I would appreciate the details.
