The following list of WWII Battle Honours for the Tor Scots is from "The Regiments and Corps of The Canadian Army", prepared by the Army Historical Section, 1964. The dates are from 33-1 Battle Honours--The Second World War, Part ‘A‘ Supplement to Canadian Army Orders, 10 Sep 1956.

These place names may help you trace the Regiment‘s movements during the period in question. This list is not to indicate that these were the only actions in which the Tor Scots fought, but rather they are the specific actions which were of such importance to the Regiment that they were selected as the Regiment‘s particular Battle Honours during WWII.
Also from "The Regiments and Corps of The Canadian Army" is this historical excerpt:
"Second World war, 1939-1945. The Regiment mobilized "The Toronto Scottish Regiment M.G., C.A.S.F." on 1 Sep 1939, and embarked for the United Kingdom on 8 Dec 1939. A detachment from the Regiment took part in the raid on Dieppe on 19 Aug 1942. The unit was redesignated: "2nd Infantry Division Support Battalion The Toronto Scottish Regiment", 1 may 1943 "The Toronto Scottish Regiment M.G.", 24 Feb 1944. On 6 Jul 1944 it landed in Normandy as a unit of the 2nd Canadian Infantry Division. The active unit was disbanded on 32 Dec 1945. A 2nd Battalion served in the Reserve Army."
M.G. - designates a machine-gun unit
C.A.S.F. - Canadian Active Service Force, designating the Canadian Army overseas
