Standard pricing, my Army mess kit in Doeskin was roughly the same about 13 years ago.

Ended up closer to $2K for me when I commissioned.

I’m not sure that includes all of the patches. For example, they don’t have the patch on the other arm, or the pocket badge. The shoulder titles would say something too. The epaulette has “Canada” on it.

Also, plenty of other countries don’t have their country in big bold letters on their dress uniforms.

Or a Spanish army uniform; or Polish; or Austrian; or Italian; or any of dozens of other non-British tan wearing armies.

Brown and two breast pockets and two hip pockets =/= British. It equals "army" as opposed to the "bus driver" look that the green one evokes. The green suit isn't "Canadian" - unless you hold with the proposition that a compromise dragged out by someone in the late 1960s to kill off two shades of blue and one of brown is a typical Canadian act. It was universally hated at the time.

If I have one criticism its that it needs a "stronger" belt. The cloth one looks wimpy and cheep. Invest in some leather and (dare I say it) a Sam Browne (there, I dared). Oh - and I'd go so far as to say Corcoran boots with bloused trousers. Time to look like soldiers again.
