UTPNCM 08/09 selection

I am patiently awaiting any word on my UTPNCM application, and was wondering if anyone could answer some questions on a letter I received from RMC Commandant today.
It lets me know that they have reviewed my files in detail and I am eligible for admission to RMC if I am accepted to UTPNCM. My first question is that about one third of the letter is saying how great RMC is and I should select them, is it not DMCARM 7 who makes this selection? As well since I checked RMC as my first choice would that not indicate to them that that is where I would like to go?
My next question is has anyone heard of DMCA 5 (Director Military Careers and Administration 5), the letter mentions that I would here of acceptance to the UTPNCM from them. I was of the understanding that DMCARM 7 makes the decision and they let your CO know, could someone clear this up for me.
Finally there is apparently a new six week prep course on math, chemistry and physics that is being offered and sounds interesting, does anyone have any visibility on this.
