What does this mean?

I called our local recruiting office in PEI today to check the status of my application. All they could tell me is that "the letter has been sent to Ottawa and they are waiting to here from them". What exactly do they mean? What is "the letter"?

First off, why didn't you ask them when you were speaking to them?

They probably mean that your medical file has been sent to the RMO in Ottawa for medical approval.

Secondly, why don't people title their threads with something more precise than, "What does this mean?"
Maybe then, people who can answer specific questions will be inclined to read them in the first place.
