Historical

In 1940, with the phasing out of the Cavalry as a combat arm, the Royal Canadian Veterinary Corps was also disbanded.

Canada had the world's first military dental corps, created prior to the First World War. The Canadian Dental Corps was renamed the Royal Canadian Dental Corps after the Second World War. The RCDC was amalgamated with dental services of the RCN and RCAF in 1968 to become the Dental Branch of the Canadian Forces. The Branch was eventually absorbed by the Canadian Forces Health Services.
